Go Fund Me: Donate Here
If you'd like to help donate some money to my college fund, so I can reach my dreams of working in the film industry please don't hesitate to donate some money. If you'd rather donate it to my paypal instead, feel free to send it to: Doctor_Elizabeth_Weir@yahoo.com
In the meantime I'm trying my hardest to find a job. I'm hoping to get a job at the local cinema. And if I can find some odd jobs here and there or even do a bake sale to raise some money for myself, I'll do that too. If you can help spread the word too, that'd be so helpful.
Also, feel free to go like this page some friends set up for me over on Facebook, it's kinda a fanpage: Kaily Russell Fanbase
I created a page at GoFundMe to help get money for my hospital and dental bills.
Could you guys help me by sharing my link?
If I can get $100 in online donations, then the site will include my page in their site search.
Here's the link: http://www.gofundme.com/HelpShel
If any of you can help with a donation, I would appreciate it.
If you can't donate, I would appreciate it if you could share my link.

(The photo above is of my mom's cat, Octavius, sleeping curled up under a blanket).
My mom just called with really bad news. Her cat, Octavius, was hit by a car last night. She ran him to the emergency vet last night and he survived through the night. while he's suffering some brain trauma, he's alert and aware. The big problem is they need to repair his jaw and possibly amputate his leg. The problem? It's $500 and they need it tomorrow, or else no surgery will be performed.
As most of you know, my family is very poor. They take in rescue animals and always have. My mom sacrifices stuff like clothing for herself to feed these critters and these are her babies. In the past, she has made payment plans with the vet, but this time they still owe $300 and the vet won't let her make payments until that's paid off. They don't have it. My step-dad is unemployed and disabled. He's in the throes of full blown dementia. My mom is trying to get disability. They have very little money coming in and they live in an RV after their home burnt down several years ago.
So happy holidays, right? I have nothing or else I'd give her a little bit. I have $85 to my name and while I may be getting my unemployment any day now, it's not even enough to cover my rent that's due at the 1st so I am going to be struggling too.
I'm going to try to raise money for her. Any little bit helps and I think I may offer to make fudge for those who'd like it. Or I will offer to edit for any writers out there. Or maybe I can offer a gift story centered around a theme of your choosing.
Anything I can do to help. This bums me out like nothing else because the only money they have is for the kid's Christmas that they'd saved up all year. Otherwise, they have nothing and what a way to celebrate Thanksgiving.
It's so painful to be an animal lover. I got my love and devotion to animals from my mom. Her babies are loved as much as Annabelle and Miss Kitty is, so this is really painful to me too. Octavius is such a sweet boy who gives kisses, curls up our arms and let's anyone hold him because he's just so easy going. I've never met a more laid back and sweet cat in my life.
I'm sorry guys, I hate turning to you all again. It's been one heck of a year for me, and now this. So I understand if there's nothing you can do. No hard feelings. I'm going to try to get this out to as many places I can and hope for the best.
Feel free to respost if you'd like. Again, no hard feelings if you can't help, I understand and feel bad enough asking as it is. But if there's anything I can do, I'm going to do it and this is about all I can do right now thanks to being unemployed.
If you'd like to help, her paypal is firstname.lastname@example.org. Leave a comment here if you'd like me to work on something for you. I still owe some people cookies and plan to do that soon, I can throw something in for anyone who wants it.
As mentioned above, I can also edit for the writers out there, or I can write gift stories with themes chosen by you. Or I can work on any design work you may need help with. I'm offering all this for donations to my mom for her cat. Anything else you can think of, I'm more than happy to do too. Just let me know.

I was trying to get my life together before this happened but I hadn't gotten very far. I do have a nearly full-time job but it doesn't pay very well. I am a CNA and I'm going to look for a better job or a second job so I can support myself in a rented room. I'm not sure how I'll do that without a car, but I'm going to have to do my best.
Any financial help would be extremely appreciated. I will have to pay off the household bills he left (hundreds of dollars worth) and try to support myself in this house for a while. (There is a renter but he might move at any time.) Then I will have moving expenses. I wish I could offer something in return for you guys but I really don't have any art skills like the people who offer fanart.
My Paypal is yosefraptor at yahoo dot com. Thank you so much for any consideration, or just a signal boost, or just your kind thoughts.
To my friends: I know some people have mentioned offering something in exchange for donations and if you want to repost this and do that that's wonderful of you.
I realize a lot of people are broke and stretched to the limit. I'm sorry I have to even ask.
ETA: erin_c_1978 and senoritafish have been very kind to offer artistic incentives!
Pe' Sla is very sacred land to the Lakota Nation. It hasn't actually belonged to them for a long time, however, and now on August 25th its going to be put up for private auction, and faces future development. The state hopes to receive it and plans to build a highway through it. Many people who plan on bidding hope to win it to get development rights on the land. Regardless, this piece of the country's natural beauty and a place of unimaginable importance- both historically and religiously- to the Lakota is about to be destroyed. The Nation has a campaign going, trying to raise enough money to buy the land back before the auction begins. Unfortunately with so little time remaining, this is impossible, but the Lakota still plan to use every penny of the money earned to buy back sacred land and protect it- there are many other places that are privately or federally owned, or at risk for future development, that the Lakota hope to buy back and preserve, so this fundraiser certainly won't be in vain, even if Pe' Sla is sadly lost.
If there's anything at all that you can give to this cause to help, please try. Too much of our land has already been stolen and abused, and too many places of great importance to us have been destroyed. Its such a shame that causes like this don't end up raising even a fraction of the money that ridiculous things do on Kickstarter and the like, but that's why I hope this community can help! Even a dollar or two goes a long way, and it goes towards protecting sacred land, preserving a Nation's history and culture, and saving the habitat of many animals, at least some of which are potentially endangered. There's not much time left, but a lot can get done in 55 hours! With enough support, who knows how high the amount can go in that time! I truly hope some folks here can help out and make a difference. Thank you so much for reading. The link is right below:
Eight weeks ago, my housemate Katie (purpura around these parts) had her second child, a month early, by caesarian section -- and when she didn't wake up from the general anesthesia, her doctors determined something was wrong with her heart. They soon discovered she'd had a pregnancy-related heart attack, likely a few weeks before giving birth. They implanted a device to supplement her heart's pumping action. It's worked well, allowing her to gradually come out of sedation and begin to recover. This past week, she got out of ICU and into a recovery room, and after several more weeks of recovery and rehabilitation, her doctors say she should be ready to come home.
Still, the LVAD isn't a permanent solution. She will require a heart transplant -- and after six months, if all goes well, she should be recovered enough to be able to have one, when possible.
Meanwhile, new baby Oliver is doing wonderfully well. This week, Katie was able to hold him, and to hug her older son, 6-year-old Charlie.
Now, during her weeks of sedation, her husband Jeff (ioldanach) noticed that her hair was unbelievably tangled. Katie takes good care of her curly hair -- she's a big fan of the Curly Girl books. Their author, Lorraine Massey, is one of Katie's Facebook friends. So Jeff reached out to Lorraine to ask some advice.
Not only did Lorraine answer, she actually visited Katie in her hospital room on August 5th to personally help take care of her hair. Today, she made a second visit, and this time Katie was awake and conscious enough to appreciate it.
Today is also the day the doctors changed Katie's tracheostomy device, enabling her to say her first words in eight weeks.
Lorraine has set up a donation page to help Katie and Jeff with medical expenses. Please, if you can, consider donating -- or pass that link around and boost the signal.
Whether or not you choose to donate, though, please consider patronizing or publicizing Lorraine's salon and her products.
Thanks for your time and attention.
However, I find myself in a place that I need to. This money is not for me though.
You see a a friend of mine lost her best friend in a car accident Sunday morning. His family doesn't have enough money to bury their child. He was only 19 years old.
He and his father worked for the same company and were laid off of work. Knowing that they were going to have a hard time making ends meet, this young man took a job with a company that took him out of town for long periods of time.
Sunday morning on his way back to Georgia to see his family for the first time in a month, the driver fell asleep behind the wheel of the vehicle and the vehicle flipped and three people were killed.
Sadly the family doesn't have the means to bury their son and brother.
We have started a fund raiser to help with this, and I believe in the power of people. I believe that if you can donate a little, even if it is just a dollar, that it all adds up.
Please, if you can, help give this family peace in giving them the ability to give this young man a burial.
If there is no monetary way you can give, please give by signal boosting.Thank you.

At 7pm he was given a temporary stay of execution whilst officials debated what to do in light of the publicity and anger over his execution. And then they decided to go ahead anyway, to execute - to murder - an innocent man.
62,000 people emailed the Parole Board to demand justice. When they started blocking emails from Amnesty, people emailed from their personal accounts. When they blocked all emails people started phoning and faxing until they took the phone off the hook. People were phoning and faxing the judges who approved the death warrant, the Supreme Court, and the White House.
We did the best that we could for Troy. And although we didn't save his life, we told the world about the injustice done to him. An injustice that can't be undone, can't be apologised for.
Troy said yesterday:
“The struggle for justice doesn’t end with me. This struggle is for all the Troy Davises who came before me and all the ones who will come after me.”
We will mourn Troy. But we should also honour his memory by continuing to fight for him, and for others in the same situation.
The justice system must be fixed,so that an innocent person can never again be put to death.
Fight with us.
Feel free to friend me here, or follow me on facebook or twitter (WendyAttwell) as I will be posting further updates and action on Troy's case and the US justice system/death penalty.
I know it's not entirely what this community was created for but... I'd like to ask you to take action to save this man's life.
Troy Davis was convicted of murdering a Georgia police officer in 1991. Nearly two decades later, Davis remains on death row — even though the case against him has fallen apart.
The case against him consisted entirely of witness testimony which contained inconsistencies even at the time of the trial. Since then, all but two of the state's non-police witnesses from the trial have recanted or contradicted their testimony.
Many of these witnesses have stated in sworn affidavits that they were pressured or coerced by police into testifying or signing statements against Troy Davis.
One of the two witnesses who has not recanted his testimony is Sylvester "Red" Coles — the principle alternative suspect, according to the defense, against whom there is new evidence implicating him as the gunman. Nine individuals have signed affidavits implicating Sylvester Coles.
Georgia's State Board of Pardons and Paroles has recently rejected Troy Davis' clemency petition. Troy continues to face execution on Wednesday Sept. 21 at 7 pm EDT (midnight Weds night UK time). Please take action before this time.
We cannot let an innocent man die.
Please take these two simple actions - asking the Parole Board to reconsider (they can change their mind at any time), and asking that Chatham County (Savannah) District Attorney Larry Chisolm step in and withdraw the death warrant.
Take action here
We can't let them kill an innocent man. This really is Troy's last chance.
Thank you for your support.
UPDATE: THE PAROLE BOARD ARE BLOCKING AMNESTY'S EMAILS, BUT YOU CAN STILL TAKE ACTION
Please forward the email below to the Parole Board at
Feel free to personalise the text or change the title of the email. We must keep the pressure on the Board, and let them know that the world is watching. Executing Troy would be an outrageous travesty against justice.
Please grant Troy Davis clemency
Pardons and Paroles webmaster

Dear Clemency Board members,
I call on the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles to take all steps necessary to ensure that Troy Anthony Davis is not executed.
You have voted to deny him clemency despite the fact that significant doubts continue to plague his conviction. You must reconsider and reverse this decision immediately.
Seven of the nine witnesses have changed their story and no physical evidence links Davis to the crime. No one should be executed, especially when there are so many doubts about guilt.
This case has generated widespread attention because so many people in Georgia and throughout the world are disturbed by the thought of a man being executed when so
much doubt about his guilt remains unresolved.
Nothing can undermine public faith in a criminal justice system faster than an execution when there are still serious doubts about guilt.
Georgia cannot afford to make such a mistake, and I urge you to do everything in your power to prevent this injustice from taking place.
